The Wesleyan Methodist Church in the South Pacific Region has Come of Age
In January this year, approval was given for Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands and Bougainville to be independent and have our own regional structure – the South Pacific Conference. Naturally we are still part of the worldwide Wesleyan movement through the International Conference, but now we can enjoy autonomy in regard to our administration and governance with a strong unified voice from the South Pacific.
To mark this historic event we will be Celebrating the Inauguration of the & Installation of Officers
Day meetings for Regional Board and invited guests only. Evening celebration events open for everyone to attend.
The evening events are:
Friday 24th 7.30 PM Focus is on Youth and Family Rev Dr Richard Waugh - Speaker
Saturday 25th 7.00 PM Multicultural Focus including the Inauguration and Blessing service Dr Jo Anne Lyon – Speaker
(Please note that there is no registration or cost involved in these events)
Due to the number involved, billeting is only being offered to overseas guests. So if you are travelling from interstate or from a fair distance, please arrange your own accommodation.
