What I do: As senior pastor I see my role as a shepherd/equipper. It is my job to both care for the church and make disciples.
Fav part of my job: I love it when I see people discover a new truth or engage in the disciples life.

What I do:  I follow up people in our church family.  I counsel members of the church and the community.
Fav part of my job:  Talking to and caring for people.
Factoid:  Love God, my husband and family, as well as people.  Enjoy traveling in our caravan.
Guilty pleasure:  Eating chocolate.

 

 

Nathan Bell

What I Do: Church Administrator, Connections Ministry Director, Technical Ministry Director, Young Adults Leader & Elder.
Fav part of my job (as Ministry Leader): Straightening Chairs, Meeting new people, Journeying with YA’s & having control over how the band sounds (mwahaha).
Factoid: I never miss a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Guilty Pleasure: Iced Doughnuts & Ginger Beer.

 

 

Kerry Fittell

What I do: Worship Director
Fav part of my job: (Just a few) To see heart transformations as individuals grow closer to God through teaching. Encouraging team members to step up in their roles. Teaching & training the team to lead our church in Spirit & in truth.
Factoid: My children are 12 months and 10 days apart.
Guilty Pleasure: Spending too much time reading a good book when I should be doing something else.

 

Phyllisia Akers

What I do: Director of Children’s Ministry. I oversee our Sunday morning children’s programs, and lead the Cubby House Kids – grade 1 to 5. As well as supporting my husband, Lex Akers, in the Senior Pastors position.
Fav part of my job: Talking with and having fun with the children. I love to see their faces light up.
Factoid: For some reason I love camels and wish I had a couple of real ones in my front yard.
Guilty Pleasure: FRY’s Turkish Delight Bars.

 

 

Karen Power

What I do: Women’s Ministry Director.
Fav Part Of Job: Love seeing women being blessed, getting together, laughing and having fun.
Factoid: Love going to the bush or the beach with my family and I love gardening and planting fruit trees.
Guilty Pleasure: Comedy movies – even the old ones.

 

 

Mick Mumford

What I do: Men’s Ministry Director.
Fav part of my job: Being with blokes; I have six women at home!
Factoid: I can beat any man alive at the board game Pretty Pretty Princess.
Guilty Pleasure: Affogato (vanilla ice cream and an expresso shot).

 

 

 

Jared Bell 

What I do: I look after the visually creative side of things at Hills Church, from graphic design, the website, to visual media for Sundays which includes producing creative videos. I have a team of people who do an amazing job of bringing together the media side of things each and every Sunday. I also play drums in the worship team which is not part of my role, but something I am passionate about.
Fav part of my job: Being creative.
Factoid: I have toured Australia and parts of the USA playing drums for YFC, this is also where I met my wife who is an amazing singer.
Guilty Pleasure: Star Trek, I have seen all episodes of all the different series’ at least 3x.

 

Scott Griffith

What I do: I am interning at Hills Church and I love it! I’m looking after prayer in our church and making sure it remains a priority throughout the various ministries and lives of God’s people here! I am studying towards ordination in the Wesleyan Methodist Church, through Kingsley College. I love being able to learn about ministry and theology as they are the very things that I feel I will need to accomplish with what God wants me to do, along with His grace. I am also a carpenter, and will often do some part time work on the side to pay for study and whatever else.
Fav part of my job: Interning at Hills Church – Working with such amazing people, and being challenged by my pastors. Studying through Kingsley – Learning about the One who I build my life upon. Carpentry – The end of the day, or the end of a job.
Factoid: I can touch my nose with my tongue!
Guilty Pleasure: I love riding my motorbike with my brother and mates on a Saturday morning.

 

Andrew Stone

What I do: I am an intern at hills church. Part of my job is to look after bible reading in our church, ensuring that every ministry has a strong focus on scripture. I am also studying full time with Kingsley Community College.
Fav part of my job: I get to work with an awesome team of people! I am always being challenged by my pastors who help me grow as a disciple of Christ. Studying with Kingsley College is fantastic because as I learn more about Jesus, I grow deeper in my relationship with him.
Factoid: I love music and a good book.
Guilty pleasure: Chocolate… Lots of chocolate.

Margaret and Peter Wyndham

What We Do: We are the co-ordinators of Hills Op Shop. With a wonderful team of volunteers we provide a warm, friendly and affordable shopping experience for the community.
Fav. part of our job: Being in a position to supply community organisations with much needed items, and helping families in crisis with essentials. We love sorting the donations. Never know what will appear next.
Factoid: We met in London in 1975 where we worked together in the National Bank.
Guilty Pleasure: Peter – Listening to Bluegrass Music on youtube.
Margaret – Ignoring housework in favour of a good book.
