Join us at Hills Church this Easter as we pause, reflect, and celebrate the hope we have in Jesus. Walk with us through Palm Sunday, enter the weight of Good Friday with the Way of the Cross and Tenebrae service, and gather in joy on Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection. Stay after the Easter Sunday service for morning tea, a jumping castle, and an Easter egg hunt.

Good Friday Title | Easter at Hills Church

3RD April | Way of the Cross 8:30am | Tenebrae Service 9am

Join us on Good Friday for the ‘Way of the Cross’ as we gather at the top of the carpark to witness the arrival of the cross (from 8:30am). Together, we will solemnly follow its path down the carpark, symbolising the journey of Jesus to his crucifixion. As we enter the auditorium, our traditional Tenebrae service begins (from 9am). Tenebrae, Latin for “darkness” or “shadows,” is a liturgical service that involves the gradual extinguishing of candles, representing the fading light of the world as Jesus faced his darkest hour on the cross. Through scripture readings and reflective music, we contemplate the sacrifice of Christ and the hope of redemption. Join us as we journey through the Way of the Cross, embracing the solemnity and significance of Good Friday.
