Welcome to our Good Friday service.

If you joined us online yesterday, you may have noticed some audio issues during the Tenebrae service. We have since worked hard to improve the audio as much as possible and uploaded an updated version.

In this special time of reflection, we remember what Jesus did for us on the day that changed everything.

Our service begins with the Way of the Cross — a simple yet meaningful walk through our local neighbourhood, as members of Hills Church carry the cross towards our church. The journey symbolises Christ’s path to Calvary and is an opportunity for us to follow in His footsteps with humility and reverence.

As the cross meets the congregation at the entrance to our property, we move together into the auditorium to continue with our Tenebrae service.

Tenebrae (Latin for “darkness” or “shadows”) is a solemn gathering marked by the gradual extinguishing of candles. Through scripture readings, moments of silence, and reflective music, we are invited to sit with the weight of Christ’s sacrifice and the deep hope it brings.
