This Sunday we farewell Lex and Phyllisia. It will mark the end of an important season in the life and journey of Hills Church. It’s been a really good season. A time discipleship, nurturing, strengthening and joy. In a way it’s ironic that Lex is now being sent by Hills to NSW in the same way that he helped nurture and send others. It was always Lex’s passion to raise up and send, and now he takes that journey himself. Sending is a legacy that will continue for us, even in our next season of ministry. I share Lex’s passion for raising new leaders that will serve inside and outside of the Hills Church community.

I’m going to miss Lex and Phyllisia. I feel like Lex understands me. He knew how to gently push and how to have patience with me. He could see God’s hand at work in my life and the life of others and he worked to nurture that. We have lot’s to be grateful for.

I encourage you, please be with us on Sunday if possible to say goodbye. I know that they have sowed into the lives of hundreds of people in the last 7 years. Lex’s preaching was insightful, thought provoking and for most of us it was life transforming (He was truly used by the Holy Spirit). For faithfully serving God and the church, we plan to honour them in the best way possible.

Please join us for worship on Sunday at 9am, and to say goodbye.

God Bless

Pastor Nathan
