I love this church family. We have a wide range of ages and backgrounds and I can see how you all strive to contribute towards a community that everyone can belong too. I really do sense God at work among us. I see the love you have for those who are struggling or unwell. I see relationships that are deepening, even when people have different opinions (something that is rare in our culture). I see people who serve God in a wide variety of ways, from praying for people in need, to cleaning the toilets for the benefit of others. I see a church who loves to worship God and who have seen a glimpse of His majesty and can’t help but call upon His name. I see a church that is learning what it means to embrace people from different ethnic backgrounds, and have appreciated that there is a strength in diversity in a Christian community.

God has given every church a clear mission to go into all the world with the good news. I’ve been working with the board to define that mission into words that are relevant to us as a church and for a clearer strategy to fulfill that mission in the Northwest suburbs of Brisbane. There are some very exciting times ahead and I can’t wait to see what God has in store. We’re already seeing evidence of changed lives, and that is a sign of an effective church. This Sunday a young lady in our church is being baptised and she has a great testimony of how God has brought renewed life through faith in Him. Come along to hear that story and be encourged.

If you’re wondering how we went with the Heart for Hills offering, you should know that it is going really well and that the church has responded with tremendous generosity. We will have two more weeks of appeals and then we’ll be able to announce how much was given and thank God together.

I’m really looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at 9am. 🙂

Blessings
Pastor Nathan
