I just wanted to thank you all for showing so much love towards Lex and Phyllisia on Sunday. I really did feel like we gave back to them just a small amount of blessing that they had given us for over 6 years. Just like the church in Antioch in Acts 13, we sent out our top pastor who had been set aside by God to go further into the field.

Sunday was a great example of how church can unite together in community. We’re united together by Jesus. We share the same supernatural indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and it makes our relationships and connection with each other special.

Sunday has reminded me of two things:

1. Our unity does not mean that we are all the same and agree on everything, it means that we are all in the one family of God and share the same purpose and destiny. We’re called to live our lives together and support each other through thick and thin. We’re united together by our love for God and our love for each other.

2. We’ve always been a sending church and we will continue to be. My question to you is this. Is God calling you to something different? Is he calling you out of what you’re doing now to go into vocational ministry? I suspect that some of you are, and as your pastor it’s my job to help you discover that calling and perhaps help you into that journey. Is God sending you? Will you go?

Our calling as God’s church in this community is stronger than ever. There is an important mission field all around us and I can’t wait to get into this new and exciting season with all of you. I believe wholeheartedly that we can make a significant difference in this community for the kingdom. Please pray for God’s will to be done in us and through us. Pray for a season of harvest. Pray for a season of unparalleled unity. Pray that we will be God’s ambassadors of light in our world that is dark.

God Bless you this week

Pastor Nathan
